What is a precinct caucus?
Caucuses and assemblies are how Democrats elect candidates to the June 30 non-Presidential Primary Ballot and ultimately get elected next November. Caucus is the first step in this grassroots process gives us everyday Democrats a direct voice in the future of the party.
What to expect:
Meet other dems in your community
Elect precinct organizers and local party leaders
Elect delegates to represent the precinct at the county assembly
Begin shaping the priorities and direction of the Democratic Party
To attend:
You must be a registered Democrat and a resident of your precinct by February 13, 2026
16- and 17-year old pre-registered Democrats are also eligible to participate and be elected as Delegates to all Assemblies.
No experience needed to attend! You are welcome to come listen, learn, and understand how the process works
Children are welcome (bring quiet activities)
Please let us know at least 2-3 weeks before if you need special accommodations like for hearing impaired, sign language, or vision impaired
