What is a precinct caucus?

Caucuses and assemblies are how Democrats elect candidates to the June 30 non-Presidential Primary Ballot and ultimately get elected next November. Caucus is the first step in this grassroots process gives us everyday Democrats a direct voice in the future of the party.

What to expect:

  • Meet other dems in your community

  • Elect precinct organizers and local party leaders

  • Elect delegates to represent the precinct at the county assembly

  • Begin shaping the priorities and direction of the Democratic Party

To attend:

  • You must be a registered Democrat and a resident of your precinct by February 13, 2026

  • 16- and 17-year old pre-registered Democrats are also eligible to participate and be elected as Delegates to all Assemblies.

  • No experience needed to attend! You are welcome to come listen, learn, and understand how the process works
